This year, two campaigns took home the Cyber Lions Grand Prix.

Ben & Milo from Leo Burnett London actually drove from west Kennes to Cannes.... in an ice cream van. Their tumblr LeoCornett.tumblr.com keeps up with their whereabouts and last night they pulled in to the Majestic Hotel corner of the Croisette and delivered ice-cream to the tired adgeeks found wandering stumbling between the Palais and the bars. Follow them on twitter too @leocornett and you'll know where they may strike next. Just don't tell Cannes security, apparently they don't fancy random ice-cream trucks pulling in and delivering soft cones of joy to people unannounced.

Dan Wieden Honoured With Lion of St Mark

First Sir John Hegarty, now Dan Wieden. It's just been announced that the 2012 recipient of the Lion of St. Mark will be Dan Wieden, Co-Founder and Global Executive Creative Director of Wieden+Kennedy. Dan Wieden commenting on the award said:

"This is a pretty big honour. To be honest, I've always identified with that renown military leader, of whom it was said, his men would follow him anywhere. Mainly, out of curiosity."

Yes, it's time for another year of Cannt - the London ad getogether for those who can't go to Cannes. June 18th – 22nd the Cannt festival will showcase and reward the best creative talent in the UK, who are still stuck in the UK instead of drinking that pink Evian in the south of France. It's a nice idea, and takes care to recreate the hobnobbing and creative gossiping over cool drinks in the summer heat, except in London far from sandy beaches. I'd go if I were in London.

CANNT 2012 is coming 18th-22rd June.
Once again we will be taking over venues in London to bring a little of the Cannes experience to those not lucky enough to go.
