DB Export "Sand made from Bottles" (2017) 1:53 (New Zealand)

About 60,000 tons of glass goes to landfill every year. It's a wasted opportunity to recycle it. In this case by turning it into sand. You see, beach sand is not a finite resource according to the talking heads on the news programs here. Luckily, the folks at BBDO Colenso had an idea. What if we created a box where you could shove your empties and turn them into sand? Each bottle makes 300 grams of sand substitute. The DB Export bottle sand is distributed to their partners to use instead of beach sand. As we're told, Kiwis love their beer, so they'll probably have plenty of it. I think they should do the same with wine bottles. Kiwis love their wine, too. In fact, I'll be happy to help. Just send me a ticket to Auckland and I'll gladly make the sacrifice. To save beaches.
