Meghan Trainor got 180 LA to create a video featuring HP Pavilion's X360 Laptop. But wait--that's not all-- they also got the hottest social influencers out there to jump on the borrowed interest bandwagon, too. Sweet!
It kind of reminds me of when Weezer did a video featuring the internet's biggest viral videos, memes and youtube stars back in 2008. I bring up this point not to sound hipster or because I particularly like the Weezer video, but to more to draw your attention to the act that "Pork and Beans," came out a full two years before Antoine Dodson's Bedroom Intruder.
In other words, the chances of this video and concept becoming dated in six months to a year, as well as its sister TV spot is quite great.
I guess as long as the kids like it, then it doesn't matter, but the concept just seems shallow.
