Old SUV Commercial

Hello,

I*m looking for information on an older commercial for a sport utility vehicle, brand unknown. In it, a yuppie-ish man talking on a cell phone sees the vehicle in a store display. He jaw drops open and he morphs into a sort of backwoodsman, losing his suit for a flannel shirt and suspenders, growing a zz-top beard and long thick hair, etc. He tosses his cell phone in the trash, climbs into the vehicle and drives off into a picture of what looks like the Rockies.

I need this for a paper I*m giving at an academic conference in one month. Any information at all, especially the brand and make of the vehicle, would be much appreciated.

Afraid I don*t recall that commercial and aren*t sure what the topic of your speech is but would the old Isuzu Rodeo commercial help put your point across? A father is shopping with his child in a toy store and comes upon his toy, a full sized, wrapped in a box Isuzu Rodeo on the shelf and he goes into a trance, longing for this car. Probably 4 or so years ago.

That daddy*s toy Izusu ad was made by Goodby Silverstein and Partners in San Francisco and can be found in several award books including the Communication Arts Annual of 95. Fab ad! ::razz::

the spot you*re referring to is for the Nissan Frontier and was produced by Chiat Day.

Additionally, the Toy Store spot was directed by Michael Bay.
