The Best Portfolio Schools

I dont know about Europe, but in the US there are a bunch
VCU Adcenter
Portfolio Center
Creative Circus
Brainco
Chicago Portfolio School
Miami Ad School
Art Center College of Design
Univ. of Texas Austin.
These are in no particular order, however, my feelings are that all those schools except VCU Adcenetr, Art Center and U of Texas are more of a business then a true place of education. I have been accepted into VCU for this fall so maybe my opinion is biased. Good luck.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to which portfolio schools are the best? I*m thinking of applying to do an art direction course (either in the US or Europe), and I*d like a bit of advice on choosing a good ad school. Thanks.
I think Miami adschool is good [never went there myself] because they send you on a full years placement after one year of training, and real life experience iin various cities around the world plain cant be bad.
Shorter courses that have great rep are the D&AD courses in London, some are 8-10 weeks at night only, so you could theoretically work in the meantime.
