Ok so there is good news in this post and bad.
First the bad. Our company is brand new. Very brand new. So brand new we are working (literally) out of the garage new! This means we are broke.
So what is the good news? Since we are broke we are open to letting people try new ideas and put their wackiest (and greatest) ideas into action! We are also looking for a long term relationship that we can continue for years to come.
We have a pretty good word-of-mouth marketing plan going on myspace and similar sites and we have a snazzy logo, (that we own 100% of the rights to woo hoo!) t-shirts, and catchphrase in place. We are looking to expand this with a video or two (or 10), maybe some banner ads or such that we can email, post, host etc . . .
We would also like to start a relationship with an animator to help us with making our mascot a little more exciting.
Feel free to check out our site and drop me an email if this is up your alley!

And you are really happy you own that logo? lol
Good luck with all that - there is a ton out there right now and lots of creative people looking to get in the industry or do stuff probono (hs kids on MySpace, etc.) Tap that market!
Tapping high schools and college students is a good idea. I would particularly suggest reaching out to college students who might have a hidden creative bent without too much commercial focus.
I*m thinking back to my liberal arts college, there were a lot of education and history majors (the latter was my department) who had no professional experience and come end of senior year were willing to do anything pro bono to have it on their resume.
Cheesy logo. Yuk. Cheesy pic of girl in cheesy T-Shirt. Dreadful. Pass.
Cute girl. Cheesy logo. Weird pay off. Why monkey with anyone at all?
