Magazine-covers as ads - Badland game of tag

I saw an ad the other day which used the common execution of looking like a magazine cover. I must have seen that a million times, so I went to google images to see if I could find any more examples. Naturally, google images search brought me way back into the Adland archives to one of the first posts.

In that example though, the whole campaign mimics other things like perfume ads, magazines and i find it fits really well with the idea.

I didn't take a photo of the ad I saw the other day and can't remember what it was for, but I know that there must be lots of examples of the magazine cover idea out there. Lets use the new upload tool and see how many we can collect in this thread.

Nice idea, I wish I had some examples here I know there's LOTS of them.

... come to think of it, many moons ago (think 98) I was collecting a bunch for a Badlander post, which I ended up never making since I had only two really small images. Wish I knew were those were now. Probably on my zip-disk. Remember those? Heh.

Anyway, I haven't noticed any recently so that was probably a ninties fad.

The mag-cover as ad has been done a million times, people are probably not rushing to post examples as everyone has one in their own portfolio.
