What's in it for us? The usual "You maybe might get your idea produced"?
Not that I mind, I've just bitten on these a few times before and the maybe-might-getting-it-produced never happened even though the scripts were loved and adored. I'm a picky person, so I don't send the same script out twice, so I'm just gauging how much time is worth spending here.
If you take a look at our website (www.ringleaderproductions.com), the majority of our spec commercials were produced from scripts submitted to us by copywriters during a similar campaign held a couple of years ago. Most of those commercials have gone on to be nominated for or have won advertising awards, including a Cannes Young Directos nomination, Clio, Golden Award of Montreux, and AICP. These awards, along with our company reel, have earned us a growing list of clients. Now to build up our director roster, we're looking for more good scripts to produce. So, yes, if the idea is good, we'll be looking to produce it, as our website clearly shows our ability to do so. Looking forward to your ideas!
Ah, thanks. :) To be honest I just wanted to see if you followed up on the thread, we've had many hit&run here in the forums. Now I'll take your proposition far more seriously. :)
