What should I wear to this job interview?

Adland has enlightened me what a new graduate female should dress in to interviews but my situation is different. For one, I'm a man.
Normally I wouldn't have to worry so much, since I've been an Art Director for a while now and the agencies that I've been at had very lax policies on dress. Now I'm older and I'm applying for a senior design position at a much larger company that, while it is an "edgy" company with cool clients and all, I'll be looking at a job description that entails more client liaisons and managing a floor of art directors and designers. I don't have a clue what to wear. Do I suit up perfectly in the most expensive designer getup I can afford, or should I show my creative roots in a fun T-shirt under a sleek jacket? HELP!

Suit up. If your clothes are distracting from your personality they'll remember your ironic shirt and not you.
I'd suggest you wear clothes.
okay, okay ... wear black. you can never go wrong with black.
I took the advice, no ironic T-shirt but still dressing as "me" as Dabitch suggested in the other thread.
Black is right, I wore a black shirt , no tie, top button open, and a black pinstripe Paul Smith suit with a slim fit. My girlfriend said I looked like a mobster from the swinging sixties London era.
and I got the job.

Thank you. I've been here a week now and it's a good fit for me. Also, I can now afford more suits.
I know you're kidding Dabs, but I'd hire you in a heartbeat if you were here, we need an interactive designer in the near future.
