Sesame street: One two three FOUR FIVE.. five six SEVEN EIGHT...

Many moons ago we had someone ask about the pinball playing scene in some toon with the song "one two three FOUR FIIIVE six seven EIGHT NIIINE TEN eleven TWELVE!" playing - the adgrunt was looking for other examples or trying to figure who was first. (Sesame street were the originators)

Anyway, that thread is so old that I can't even find it, but here is someone who's done major research on that old sesame street song and put together a most entertaining blog post on all the covers of this sesame street song.

The pinball number count revisited.

There's certain to be a version that you dig here. I'm partial to the jazz one by the Neil Cowley Trio - Pinball Number Count. Cool!

Remind me that I have to get the Venetian Snares - Twelve versions to play at a party sometime too.

Yes, if only I'd had that list when my children were Sesame Street age, I could have entertained them for hours. :-)

The voice saying the featured number was cool, too. Some sounded like whacked H-addicts jonesing for a fix or jittery, over-caffeinated freaks... "eeee-lllll-e-v-n-n-n-n-n"

This is brilliant, I'm going to play this all day and annoy the hell out of my entire office.
