Levi's commercial

I'm seeing if anyone can help me find an old Levi's commercial that aired during a super bowl sometime around 1996 maybe earlier or later. I've checked the archives and can't find it. Someone has to remember this commercial, even though I only saw it once during the whole game.

It's focused on a hula girl on a dashboard while driving down the road, and the guy driving parks and gets out to go inside a local shop. The hula girl comes to life and looks to make sure the guy is gone, and she disappears inside her little grass hula skirt, putting on her levi's and pops back out using the skirt for her hair and jumps off the dash. Loved this commercial and can't find it anywhere.

Can someone please help?

Wow, talk about lengthy spam. I suppose that clothes will make the argument that this is an ad site, so such a comment is appropriate. Maybe I can start leaving comments asking people to invest in films. I'd only be breaking fifteen or twenty Federal Laws, but what the hell. I'm in Denmark. :-)

Spam removed. And if you do that tod, I won't buy you beer no mo'! :P

I would never do such a thing. You're too good a drinking buddy! :-)

Not a spam. I'm seriously looking for this. Is it against the law or something?

They don't mean you, someone replied with a bunch of links pointing to designer jean warehouse sites or something, I didn't even read it. That's why Dabs says "spam removed", she has removed the spam post.

And as for he ad you're looking for I'm having a bit of a brain drain at the moment, I can recall seeing something like that but for Levis but  I have no idea where I saw it. I think 1996/97 is probably right. Maybe it was on a spots reel.

Oh man, sorry healea I should have removed mine and Tod's chatter as well to avoid misunderstandings. We didn't mean you - some chinese spammer was hawking their wares in your thread. It was ugly.

As for the ad, I don't remember seeing a hula-girl get decked out in jeans, but my brains been going lately. ;P

Yes, healea, what they said. My original comment was meant for the now removed spammer, not you. Your question is totally in synch with what Adland is all about. Unfortunately, I don't remember the hula-girl spot you're talking about either. The only hula-girl spot I can think of is the one for Korbel which can be found on youtube.

Sorry, since it was gone I was kinda confused, lol. Anyways, thanks. I hope someone can find it somewhere else for me. I haven't had any luck on this site or YouTube.

Totally insignificant for me to have it, but I really thought it was an off the wall creative idea from Levis, and I'm chomping at the bit. hee hee.

Thanks!

I'm not sure, but I may have a copy of this on my harddrive somewhere (well, I know where it would be, but I'm not sure it exists). [I don't know what format it may be in, as I have QuickTime, Windows Media, and RealPlayer files].

If I have it, I'll let everyone know. Don't expect it for a few days. (I'll also post to let you know if I do NOT have it).

I checked last night, and the answer is - I can't find it.

SORRY.

Can't find it? or don't have it? Sometimes, I can't find the things I have.

This happens with things I have that make a break for it. They jump suddenly from my grasp, usually when I am distracted doing something, and they tend to run a short distance to some hiding place. They will also sneak away over a time when I am not watching them. Once they have escaped, they always stay still and silent, as they know any motion or sound on their part will immediately attract my attention. Smart, those things I have, but I can't find.

Hmm, well thanks for looking for me. Maybe there's another spot I can look that you can point out for me?

I can't remember right now. Maybe over the weekend, I'll get a chance to review my old "Favorites" list (those things can get too huge to use after awhile). I used to have a handful of sources besides Ad-Rag to check (One of them was a French site).

Speaking of favorites, you haven't tried out favoriting your favorite ads or articles here. ;) Just to add another favorite list to keep track of. hehe.
