yorkie vs kenco

in

In a latest ad for yorkie a woman is rejected a yorkie bar in a newsagent. This might not sound sexist but the tag line is it`s not for women.
This is recieving stacks of critism.
But it seems to be okay for women to do the same thing to men in another ad for kenco rapor in which a woman is explanig to a class of grad students about a skull .
She says it's obviously shaped like a male, due to the sloping forehead, but as soon as she drinks the rapor she starts saying how the eyes are man like and there Is a stupid MANLIKE grin on his face.

Now how come this hasn't been targeted too?

1) It's socially acceptable to beat-up on guys.

2) We're too busy reading Maxim and FHM to take notice of the raptor commercials.

3) We're more interested in getting pissed than getting organized to fight male sexism.

The second spot hasn't been targeted because it's based on scientific fact - go to any reputable anatomical model supply company and you'll see that they offer both male and female skull models. And yes, they're shaped different. Besides, a skull has no choice but to have a shit-eating grin (I have no idea where that expression comes from, but work with me here), which, well... is an expression simply seen more on a guy's' face than a gal.

Especially if he sees a nice pair of boobies.

good point, must not get drunk and put a comment on the site again

C'mon tvadman - don't repress yourself. A little sauce in the system ofttimes brings out the best of discussions. (hic) ... Y'know what? There's a groovy beer campaign there somewhere...

I think you should make it habit! :-)

The difference is that the Yorkie commercial is very funny (Despite being a thinly veiled rip-off of the "life of brian" stoning scene). While the kenko rappor ad is a pile of shite.
