Shinola is an American company specializing in handcrafted watches, bicycles, leather goods and journals. This spec ad celebrates the American grit that went into making this watch. I love the type/image treatment to help tell this story. I wish it had something to do with a watch that seems to have been made in Detroit and not Oklahoma, unless they're loosely trying to connect the economic collapse of Detroit to the natural disaster of the dust bowl, which doesn't really add up for me. Still, it looks cool.
