A good example of reverse psychology in advertising. It's chock full of celebrities so it's semi-entertaining.

Oh Fuck! - The Economist Cover September 2008

Hats off to the uber-intelligent folks at 'The Economist' who have, in just two words, so eloquently captured how we are all feeling about the current state of the financial markets.

The JWT graduates are 10 times filtered...

The JWTgrads are 10 times filtered - just like the Smirnoff Vodka commercial that came out of JWT last year. I have no idea if this means that JWT graduates go well with some tomato juice, worcester sauce, tabasco and a stick of celery but I'll give anything a try once.

Can you guess the website by just one letter?

Hey kids. We've played the Can you guess the movie title from just one letter? (and no, surprise, they were not all Trajan Pro.)

Now lets do it again but web-nerdier - guess the website from just one letter!

Axonoid's guess the Logos is friendlier than the Movie guessing game as it's case insensitive and space insensitive. Go nuts.

Telia Sweden "pauses" Stureplan in Stockholm. Homage to Improv Everywhere, anyone?

Storåkers in Stockhom were so impressed by Improv Everywhere's fantastic Frozen Grand Central that they repeated the event, except as an ad for Telia's 'new' offering of the ability pause live TV which is like, so futuristic over here in the backwaters of Europe.

Lets have a look shall we? Improv everywhere:

Telia at Stureplan, Stockholm:

Mocking marketing brilliance from this summer's Olympic commercials.

Current.com are mocking those Olympic tie-in ads - so well deserved. They point fingers at the Visa - Go World - Derek Redmond ad and Home Depot - Team USA as well as the by now classic odd couple - McDonald's and olympic athletes who would never eat that crud.

Little Gordon Ramsay hates white fucking anemic bread, and slow service.

You know had I'd prefer not to post youbloodytube crap here, so much so that only a perfect imitation of Gordon Ramsey as delivered by a nine-year old kid changes my mind. It's caterer.com that has a campaign with little Gordon - and why? A caterer.com rep said to adfreak they're doing this "show new industry talent how enjoyable and attractive the sector is." Yeah, uhm, that's working.

More inside folks - Little Gordon rips a manager a new one after waiting an hour for his starter. "I ordered the chicken an hour ago, and I can only presume that you're waiting for the eggs to hatch, yes?"

Can you guess where I am from?

This accent game is a fun little time-waster, even though to be honest - some peoples accents aren't that representative of the cities or countries that they are from. I would have done much better if there had been some Swedes, Finns, Danes and Dutch folk in here. My score - 55 points - can you beat it (without cheating? This game allows you to play again and does not randomize the people, sadly.) Watch out for that articulate brunette in the bottom row. ;) Try the accent game here.

Target Women: Birth Control!

Sarah Haskins shares another bunch of crazy ads targeting women - why is birth control sold as period control? The women in these ads are crazy. Bonus points for the scary Sims-style swimming party - that has got to be the weirdest ad I've seen this year.

We've secretly switched their XP to Windows Vista... Lets see if they notice.

Oh no, it's yet another hidden camera commercial. Haven't we done these by now?
