In 1991 the sordid story of "subliminal advertising" had reached fever pitch, and ad professors were teaching classes about the phenomenon, showing all kinds of cigarette and alcohol ads that they thought had subliminal messages in them. Ice was always hiding something.

So Seagram's decided to have a little fun with that and suggested there was something to find in their carefully photographed drink. But there is nothing more than Seagram's gin, tonic, lime, and ice to see here.
