Max Headroom was a British-based science-fiction character, but in the end, this all felt a little 1984... Not just because of the ad, mind you, but also because they changed the Coke flavour, and new coke was widely rejected by Coke fans in the southern United States, prompting a return of "classic coke" to the shelves.
Actor Matt Frewer played Max Headroom, once touted as the "world's first computer-generated TV host".
