No RFP for this Pitch Consultant: Hitch Launches

West Coast Agency Search Firm Launches

Seattle, WA: Hitch, a west coast-based search consultancy has launched, with a focus on bringing companies and their marketing partners together without the use of an RFP or protracted pitch process.

“Using an RFP to hire an agency has long been criticized by industry insiders. Peter Coughter wrote a great article on the subject over 12 years ago that continues to resonate today, especially in this economy,” says Hitch president David Wiggs, a former ad agency new business director.

Hitch’s process makes an agency search faster, less risky, less expensive, and ensures a much higher probability of success for both client and agency. Transparency and respect for the time and expense of agency new business acquisition are hallmarks of the Hitch process that have been welcomed by agencies and clients alike.

“Hitch is like eHarmony® for agencies and clients. David listens to what his clients need and goes to the market and finds an agency with similar values and vision,” says Trevor Graves founder and GM of Portland base action agency NEMO.

Hitch recently concluded its first search, for McNett Corporation, a gear care and repair leader for the outdoor industry. Hitch also has three new projects preparing to launch this quarter for clients in Atlanta, Seattle and Hartford, CT.
